Christian gets to the ring and gets on the mic. He tells us that he needs one more match for the title before proceeding with the match. Christian picks up the win after the Killswitch.

Christian wrestled at the Smackdown live event in Asheville, NC. Christian was originally intended to be in the triple threat main event match for the World Heavyweight Championship, but was replaced by Alberto Del Rio. Read the results below.

Tatsu came out first. Then, Christian, who grabbed a mic (everyone was cutting promos tonight) and said he wants one more championship match. Good back and forth match. Tatsu got in some good offense, including a cross-body off the top rope. Eventually, Tatsu missed a big kick and Christian pushed him into the ropes and then hit the Killswitch for the win.

The famed wrestler Christian has been in some tough spots before, and he’s got more work ahead on Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Center.

The WWE Heavyweight Championship belt is on the line, but to win it, he’s got to face two others fighters — Sheamus and Daniel Bryan — at the same time. They call it a Triple Threat Match.

“Obviously, the more elements that you add, it makes it harder to control,” the fighter said in a phone interview a few days ago. “You have to stay one step ahead of the other guys. I’m confident about my game. I know where I am at all times.”

In a career that dates back to 1994, Christian (also known as Christian Cage, The Canadian Rage and born as William Jason Reso) has become one of the top fighters out there. He’s worked with a number of circuits but is currently a star on the WWE, which brings its SmackDown bouts to Asheville on Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Center.

Raised in Canada, Christian was hooked on wrestling at an early age. The sport involves some serious athletic ability, and also the creation of a ring character that will interest the audience. “I always try to be on top of that,” he said. “If you want to boo me, then boo me. I do my thing, and people like it. I don’t change too much.”

Every wrestler has a style, he said. “I watch a lot of guys and know what they are doing,” he said. His signature move — and it’s very effective — is called the “killswitch.” “When my opponent is in a vulnerable position, I will use my body weight to drive them loopy. I saw a performer in Japan do a variation of it, and I thought it would be more effective if I simplified it,” he said.

These WWE dudes are hard workers, performing several nights in a row.

“We just got back from a two-week tour of Europe where we wrestled every night,” Christian said. “It is what it is. It’s not for everybody. No matter how tired you get, when you get in that ring and hear that crowd roar, everything will go away.”

Drew came out and cut a promo on how great it was to be home. Whilst Drew thanked his mom and Dad, Christian comes out and cuts him off. He tries to insinuate that he will beat in a handicap match with Mark Henry. Booker T makes the save.

The heels work Drew for most of the match. Hot tag to Booker. Booker comes in and cleans out house. Booker scores the pin with an Ax kick. The spin a roni sees out this match.

5. Booker T and Brodus Clay def. Christian and Mark Henry. Clay got the pin on Christian following a big splash. Hornswoggle, Cameron and Naomi were with Clay. After the win, Clay did a Spin-a-roonie and Booker danced with the girls.
